Pre-Employment Drug Tests
No employer wants to hire someone who screened positive for outlaw stimulants.
But what you do in your own time – shouldn’t it be your own choice?
It’s a pity, large businesses
can afford to opt for its staff, and for a person searching for a place to work, the selection of where to work might not be as great as the businesses’ selection of who to employ.
When you apply for a vacancy first you have an appointment and
if they are interested in hiring you, you’ll be sent to take a drug test, usually within a short period of time following the appointment.
Most common pre-employment drug screenings are urine drug tests – they are cheap and give as
satisfying effect as any other drug tests.
When you represent a piss sample to a lab technician, it is placed in a special bottle and labelled in front of you and initialed by you, so there is no confusion who’s example which.
Subsequently on close to half a sample is tested in basic testing.
Normally, a positive drug screening results in a man not getting a work, and when they report you that you weren’t selected for a work, they are not required to let you know why: it might be the drug checking results, or it just might be they selected somebody else over you.
In case you already have a work and tested positive in primary testing, the company is liable to do a second, confirmatory drug test on the same example.
They don’t perform another verification, but simply retrieve the remains of the initial sample that is saved in the lab and execute a more advanced drug test to convince or invalidate the results of the drug screening.
